Preston & The Zone

Some of you may remember that I was pregnant last year at the Zone Camp. Well, our son Preston was born a month after camp and I wanted to let everyone know that he will be at camp this year - big smile and all. I must say, he is excited about camp and all the fun activities for kids including the pool, the lake front, the super cool games, etc.... We look forward to seeing you at the Zone and maybe you can catch a glimps of Preston's smile :) Here a photo.

6 years

I was thinking about the Zone camp yesterday, which I do often, and I realized that this will be the 6th year at camp. Wow - 6 years of God's faithfulness to the Zone camp, youth leaders, middle and high school students. My own brother was a student at the Zone camp in 2004 when he was was in Middle school - crazy! I hope my own son will be able to attend the Zone camp in about 12 years. That would be awesome. The logo above is from the first Zone camp in 2004. Thank you Eric Larsen and Eric Vanzee for starting this amazing camp and for inviting many to be a part of it. I am encouraged to see God at work.

60 days

As I was looking at the calendar this morning I realized that there is only 60 days left till the start of the Zone Camp 2009. What does that mean for you? This means talking to your youth leader and registering for camp ASAP. This also means talking to your friends from school, the neighborhood, sports teams, clubs, church, etc... and inviting them to camp this summer. Tell these friends about the fun lakefront activities, the cool cafe, the silly leaders, the interesting talks and all the other great items the Zone Camp has to offer Middle School Students. We look forward to seeing you all soon.

Cafe

This morning I was thinking about the Zone Camp and remembered the super cool Cafe (see photo). I have great memories of eating ice cream & pizza and hanging out to early in the morning at the cafe. This is a great spot at Lake Williamson retreat center to connect with friends and discuss all that is going on in our busy lives and new things at camp. We hope you will take advantage of the cafe this summer. Oh yes, I highly recommend the Moose Tracks Ice Cream - its the best!

Zone goers: I want to take a moment to send out a link to a website that I think everyone should check out. http://www.lakewilliamson.org/teambuilding.html This website is for the Eagle Crest Adventures high and low ropes course at Lake Williamson. I highly recommend this adventure for each group to build teamwork and unity. Oh yes, get ready to get into the ZONE!
